In the most open singles field for years, both #1 seeds (in the Open Singles and Men’s B Singles events) were knocked out in 3 sets in the opening round.

In the Men’s Open Singles, Warren Steinberg was crowned Club Champion for the first time, defeating Marcus Frajman 6-0, 6-7, 6-0. Staggeringly, Steinberg dropped just 7 games in each of his 3 matches and was a deserving winner. Steinberg was competing in his first Club Championships and was a gun recruit for Maccabi in 2021.

Marcus Frajman didn’t drop a set en route to winning the Men’s B singles event for the second time (an event he also won in 2013), defeating Ben Pollak 6-2, 6-4 in the final.

Mitch Aarons and Steve Bendel defeated brothers Warren and Dean Steinberg 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the first doubles final to go to 3 sets in years.
